Joseph Devlin, ACI
Neuromuscular acupuncture practitioner and founder of Acupuncture Bray @ Equinox, with over 20 years' experience in neuromusculoskeletal health, from elite sport to everyday pain relief.
Joseph Devlin, ACI, is a neuromuscular acupuncture practitioner with over 20 years of experience in neuromusculoskeletal health and wellbeing. Based in Greystones, he is dedicated to providing expert, accessible care across Bray and the wider Wicklow and South Dublin area.
He is passionate about advancing NMT and acupuncture, promoting assessments based on sound clinical reasoning, and making good care easier to reach for people across Wicklow. He also maintains a strong commitment to health education, collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and ongoing innovation in clinical practice.
A personal approach
“Over the last 20 years, I have developed a compassionate and personalised approach to managing pain — one that integrates both the physical and emotional aspects of wellbeing. My practice is rooted in the belief that every person's journey is unique, and I am dedicated to tailoring my therapies to meet your specific needs.
At the Equinox Centre, just off the N11 in Bray, I work with people to address their physical pain, enhance their health and promote overall wellbeing. I combine hands-on therapy with techniques such as breathwork and mindset reframing to help you build resilience, regulate your body and find balance during times of physical and emotional challenge.”
A central theme of Joseph's work is the mind–body connection in treating painful neuromuscular conditions. Breathing techniques used during treatment are key to managing discomfort and improving outcomes, which means less pain during treatment and fewer treatments overall.

“As a physiotherapist, I am very particular about who I refer on to and who I tie my name to. Joseph is by far one of the most knowledgeable therapists I have worked alongside over the years. He adapts his pressure to your needs and will truly give you an individually tailored treatment plan. Great person also.”— Laura, Physiotherapist
“I had a niggling pain for a few weeks — upper back, left shoulder up to my neck. After applying your myofascial techniques at the workshop, I'm surprisingly happy it's as good as gone. Thank you, Joseph, and I hope you keep going with this work.”— Nelly, workshop participant
