Delphine O'Keeffe
Psychotherapist · IAHIP accredited
Delphine has worked as a psychotherapist for over 10 years with clients from diverse backgrounds, on issues including workplace challenges, relationships, self-esteem and self-doubt, identity and sexuality, body issues, grief and loss, and creative expression. She has a particular interest in working with people who identify as highly sensitive, intuitive or neurodivergent.
She offers an open-minded, collaborative space to move through personal difficulties, or to explore life choices and questions about how to live a meaningful life.
How Delphine works
Her approach responds to each client's needs. She respects people's choices and emphasises personal agency, while recognising the wider social and collective influences that shape our individual experiences. She develops a therapeutic relationship based on trust over time, as a foundation for exploring how clients relate to themselves and others.
Her orientation is humanistic, psychodynamic and integrative, incorporating existential and transpersonal perspectives, and strongly influenced by body psychotherapy, inner child work, attachment theory, object relations and the neurobiology of trauma. She sees psychotherapy as a creative process: collaborating with people to uncover their own inner wisdom, and to develop the resilience to express their authentic voice in their lives, work, relationships and creations.
Background & training
Delphine comes from an Irish-French background, was raised bilingual in a multicultural environment, and has lived, worked and travelled in many countries. Having benefited hugely from personal therapy and always been fascinated by philosophy, psychology and personal development, she left the NGO sector in her mid-30s to train in psychotherapy.
She holds a HDip in Counselling & Psychotherapy and an M.A. (1st Hons) in Psychotherapy from DBS, attends regular supervision, and is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and a member of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP). Alongside psychotherapy she offers psycho-spiritual mentoring, facilitates women's circles, and runs training for organisations on workplace wellbeing and embodied mindfulness.
